What to watch.
Inspect exposed metal, door hardware and exterior vents for residue or early corrosion. Keep ventilation paths clear and wipe exterior surfaces with the manufacturer-approved method.
For refrigeration, confirm the grille is unobstructed and listen for unusual fan noise. For outdoor or garage appliances, verify that the model is approved for that installation environment.
